The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in co-operation with the Asian Institute of Technolgy (AIT) and the University of Leeds, and under of the KNOTEN Weimar GmbH provvide the E-learning platform-based long-distance education model, which offers a Certified Course (CC EEM) additional to the Master Course on Environmental Engineering and Management (M.Sc. EEM). It is intended to promote knowledge transfer to emerging economies worldwide on the basis of the European higher Education and offer postgraduates the opportunity to specialise in Environmental Engineering and Management.
Bachelor or Master or comparable degree in one of the fields: Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Water Management, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Chemical Engineering, Supply and Disposal Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, or comparable subjects. Applicants holding a uiversity degree in another engineering or science subject as those listed above can also be admitted to the course if they can prove relevant job experience of at least 2 years or provide an adequate degree. Sufficient knowledge of the English language will be necessary. Practical experiences in the nemed fields are desirable.
Graduates will be responsible for environmental engineering issues, planning, design, development, operation, management and maintenance of urban technical infrastructure. Important professional fields will be the infrastructure fields water supply, urban drainage, waste water management, transportation, waste and energy.
