In the previous years a series of International Probabilistic Workshops on safety and risk in civil engineering were organized starting in 2003/2004 in Dresden, followed 2005 in Vienna, 2006 in Berlin, 2007 in Ghent, 2008 in Darmstadt, 2009 in Delft, 2010 in Szczecin, 2011 in Braunschweig, 2012 in Stuttgart and 2013 in Brno. We will continue this series with the 12th International Probabilistic Workshop which will take place on 04th and 05th November 2014 at Bauhaus- University Weimar, Germany. The symposium will be organised jointly by the Graduate Research School 1462 "Evaluation of Coupled Numerical and Experimental Partial Models in Structural Engineering" of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany) and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (Austria), Deltares (The Netherlands) and Dynardo GmbH (Germany).
The International Probabilistic Workshop will be held in cooperation with the Weimar Optimization and Stochastik Days 2014 (WOST) organized by the company Dynardo GmbH (Germany), a specialist in dynamic software & engineering. WOST is a conference for CAE-based parametric optimization, stochastic analysis and Robust Design Optimization. Details can be found here.
The WOST includes a training in ,,Basic concepts of stochastic analysis" held by Prof. Christian Bucher (TU Vienna), which is free of charge.
