Advanced Architectural Design

The study programme Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design provides a broad spectrum of knowledge and expertise in preparation for the wide variety of fields to be found in the architectural profession. As such, the departments involved cover a variety of disciplines from theory of architecture, principles of design, urban design and town planning, design and theory of building types and building construction.
In addition to the core modules with each of the five departments, students can also choose freely from other subject areas. Exchanges with partner universities for both students and staff broadens the horizon, establishes contacts and enables access to international professional activities. Much of the coursework is held in the English language and modern technology is used to exploit synergies among the teaching resources. International and interdisciplinary exchanges take place primarily during the third semester. The fourth semester is the final concluding semester ending with the master project and ‘Master of Science’ qualification.
The Master Studies are a two year course in continuation of the three year Bachelor course and lead to full academic qualification.
