In this project students will explore the use of video as a live performance medium, both through theory and practice.
With support from the project leaders, students will undertake research into a range of topics, including:
- The 'liveness' of video performance
- Fluid narrative cinema and the construction of meaning in live video
- Performative expression through mediated means
Students will also be expected to develop personal approaches to performative video based on their research and creative practice, culminating in a showcase of students' works as part of the Mediengang 2008.
To facilitate this students will be introduced to a range of video performance technologies and existing artistic works during the project and will have the opportunity to meet and work alongside practicing live video artists.
Die Studenten werden in diesem Projekt Video als ein Live Performance Medium nutzen. Dabei werden sie theoretischer Grundlagen dieser Kunstform erarbeiten und diese immer wieder praktisch und experimentell umsetzen. |
