Images of the world – how are they generated and how do we interpret them?
With mass media and mass tourism as their most powerful tools, intercultural communication is largely based on image transfer. Students from various cultural backgrounds and disciplinary fields will discuss today‘s global flow of images and its effect on our world views. From the viewpoint of architecture, history, philosophy and economics the ISP will investigate their production, interpretation
and reinterpretation.
Each year, three two-week seminar sessions will be held in Erfurt/Weimar, Tokyo and Seoul.
