WS 2013 / 2014 – DESIGNING NATIONS

What determines the form of states and communities?
Is it the different colours and designs found on national flags, differing currencies, specific guidance systems or uniforms and symbols of their executive branches that seperate different communities from each other?
Are there specific color codes, certain types of local typography or traditional uses of shapes and colours to be found?

To find answers to the above questions, the characteristics mentioned have been put into the topical main focus of this course.

works shown by Benjamin Schmidt & Philotheus Nisch, Lieselot Coenen, Maria Herholz, Dominic Dives, Sascha Krischock, Ferdinand Weigel, Kristin Schulze
