Behind
the Bauhaus University‘s Main Building from 1998-2001,
the first new buildings for the Faculty of Architecture were
built according to the design by AV1 Architects, Kaiserslautern.
What
is unusual in the stringent design is its high flexibility
of possible use. According to AV1´s design, 10 further
cubes will be constructed, one after another.
In
the first two buildings are housed student working rooms,
artistic-experimental workshops, the Professorship
of Computer Science in Architecture, and computer labs.
