This
six-story steel concrete skeleton structure, with two
rows of rooms along each of its corridors, was erected
in 1974. The building was originally intended for the
Ernst Thälmann Heavy Machinery Collective (SKET),
but was then taken over by the university.
The
building today is used by the Faculty
of Civil Engineering, the budget and research transfer
departments, and the Department of Student and Academic
Affairs with student
counseling and Office
of Foreign Student Affairs.
