1. Motivationsschreiben / Statement of Intent
Sie bewerben sich hier für ein Postgraduiertenprogramm, dessen Diskurs und künstlerische „Realprojekte“ sich auf die Arbeit im öffentlichen Raum konzentrieren. Bitte beschreiben Sie, basierend auf Ihren bisherigen Arbeiten und Interessen, warum Sie sich für diesen Studiengang bewerben möchten. Reflektieren Sie in diesem Text sowohl Ihre künstlerische Position wie auch Ihre künstlerischen Ziele.

2. Entwurf für eine Intervention im öffentlichen Raum

Hier finden Sie eine detaillierte Beschreibung des Ortes.
3. Realisierung einer Intervention Wählen Sie frei einen Ort in derjenigen Stadt, in der Sie leben und realisieren Sie hierfür eine temporäre Arbeit in demjenigen künstlerischen Medium, das Sie hierfür für angemessen halten. Senden Sie uns eine fotografische Dokumentation dieser Intervention, eine Beschreibung, sowie eine Einschätzung der Einflussnahme Ihrer Intervention auf diesen Kontext.

1. Statement of Intention
You are intending to apply for a program that concentrates on art in the public realm. Based on the work you have done in the past, please describe your interest in working in public space and why you are applying for this particular program. In this statement please reflect upon your current artistic position as well as your future artistic aims.

2. Proposal for an intervention in public space
Weimar’s busiest intersection is the Goetheplatz. In its center is a park-like area with an empty pedestal, once featuring an equestrian statue of Carl Alexander, Duke of Sachsen (1818-1901) as described on a plaque fixed to it.
You have been invited to realize a work of art at this specific site and have money and technical expertise at your disposal.
The aim is not to revive history. The marble pedestal could remain as part of your idea, it could be moved or taken away completely. Address contemporary artistic issues in interpreting the location and the context.
Sketches and/or photo montages should document your proposal along with a 500-word written explanation of your project.

3. Realisiation of an intervention
Choose a location in the town in which you are living and do a temporary work of art in whatever media you find appropriate. Send a photographic documentation, describe the work and the impact that your artistic intervention had on the site.
