Welcome to PDP 2009
at the Bauhaus-University Weimar

The 17th Euromicro International Conference on Parallel, Distributed, and Network-Based Processing was organised by the CSCW Research Group of Prof. Tom Gross and took place at the Bauhaus-University Weimar from 18th to 20th February 2009. The proceedings are available from IEEE Computer Society Press. The subsequent information and pages are kept online to document this event. Please find some impressions of the conference in the summary here.

Conference Theme and Topics

Parallel, Distributed, and Network-Based Processing has undergone impressive change over recent years. New architectures and applications have rapidly become the central focus of the discipline. These changes are often a result of cross-fertilisation of parallel and distributed technologies with other rapidly evolving technologies such as telecommunications and multimedia. It is of paramount importance to review and assess these new developments in comparison with recent research achievements in the well-established areas of parallel and distributed computing, from industry and the scientific community.
