Electrolyzer has arrived at the test site in Apolda for trial operation

Progress is being made with the h2-well projects - Today, the electrolyzer was delivered by Kyros Hydrogen Solutions GmbH to the small hydropower plant in Oberroßla near Apolda.

Together with the colleagues from Höschel & Baumann Elektro GmbH and Kyros Hydrogen Solutions GmbH, the Energy Systems team prepared everything for the trial operation at the small hydropower plant in Oberroßla. This included connecting to the gas storage tanks of Rießner-Gase GmbH, which were already piped last week, as well as making the connections to the hydrogen compressor and the electrical wiring. The water connection for the electrolysis was also established. Now, the initial operation of the plant is not far away!

With this plant, we aim to demonstrate how hydrogen can be produced locally with renewable electricity. The concept is scalable and could possibly be applied in the future, for instance, at wind farms.
