The ECL-AA is an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teaching and research lab focusing on rapid urbanization in Subsahara Africa
The ECL-AA was jointly established in 2015 as an exchange platform, research center and real-world laboratory by the bauhaus.ifex at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC). Due to the transdisciplinary and practice-oriented character of the lab, it tightly cooperates with industry partners, international partner institutions, students and postgraduates.
