The Ethio-German Konnect (EGK), held over three days in Addis Ababa (follow-up to africa re:load in Weimar), focused on Ethiopian and German innovation and cooperation within the energy, construction and agriculture sectors. It provided a forum for pioneer players within these fields to present their projects and to connect with others. The aim was to initiate a platform to exhibit as well as to network Ethiopian and German entrepreneurs, Institutions and Ethiopian "returned experts", creating oportunities for pioneering new business ventures.

The EGK further aimed at promoting an innovative and vibrant image of German and Ethiopian business engagement to relevant stakeholders beyond the three sectors, to lay foundations for longterm broad binational business & research partnership.  EGK was organized by the CIM Returning Experts Program.
