Knowledge Centre @ Weimar (KC@W) was jointly founded in February of 2002 by
the Chairs IT in Construction and Construction Economics at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and serves as a competence centre in an international network.

Successful application for COST Action (27th July 2010) With its 18 partner intitutions from around the world the KC@W was successful in applying for a COST Action. COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is one of the longest-running European instruments supporting cooperation among scientists and researchers across Europe. New partners in the KC@W network (10th Feb 2010) Two European Universities have recently joint the KC@W network: Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh (Scotland) and Mendel University, Brno (Czech Republic).While mutual activities with Mendel University focus on research it is planned to also set up an Erasmus contract with Heriot Watt University.
