A beer brewery was once located where the Bauhaus-Universität opened its brand-new library in September 2005. Centrally-located between Frauenplan, Steubenstrasse, Schützengasse and Brauhausgasse, the University Library offers students and staff approx. 5,000 sq.m. of usable space which includes the university’s main auditorium (Audimax). The two wings of the new building contain areas for both library users and university personnel. Furthermore, students can enter the first sublevel of the library via the Limona Building.
