This workshop course aims both to train certain specific English language skills required for giving effective presentations and, more generally, to break down any inhibitions which students may have in speaking in front of an audience in English. Attention will be paid to such aspects as structure, terminology, body language and appropriate use of technology.

The 3 all-day workshops will take place on Fridays (and/or on Saturdays, if the course members so wish). A meeting at the beginning of the semester will determine the exact dates. At the end of the semester, each student will give a presentation or informal talk on a subject of their choice. They will also be expected to deal effectively with questions from the audience.

This course requires students to be flexible in their approach to language and, above all, not to be afraid of making mistakes!
