Intensive Courses in March and September

In March and in September of the academic year, the Language Centre offers preparatory courses in German for full-time and part-time students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Hochschule für Musik (Music Conservatory).

Target group
The courses are geared primarily towards international exchange students spending one or two semesters in Weimar, and aim at preparing them for their stay. However, the courses are also open for full-time students wishing to improve their proficiency in German.

Duration
The courses last three weeks and offer c. 60 contact hours (45 minutes). Classes usually take place from 9.00 - 12.30 a.m.

Placement Test
Before attending a course, students have to participate in a placement test which takes place on the first course day at 9.00 a.m.

Course fees
For full-time and other international students who have already spent some time in Weimar and attended other German language courses at the Language Centre, the course fee is € 40.

For exchange students coming to Weimar for the first time, the course is free of charge.

Guests can be admitted if places are still available. The fee is € 80.

Dates for 2012/2013

10 - 28 September, 2012 (to prepare for the winter semester 2012/2013)

11 March - 28 March, 2013 (to prepare for the summer semester 2013)

Deadline
Registration should be completed four weeks before the beginning of the course at the latest.
