The Faculty of Media offers Computer Science and Media as an undergraduate bachelor’s programme (Bachelor of Science), and as an English-language master’s programme (Master of Science). During your studies you will acquire analytical, creative and practical skills for software and systems development in the field of digital media. The BSc and MSc programmes are taught by internationally renowned professors from the respective fields and you will work in our well-equipped modern laboratories. Problem-based active learning and interdisciplinary course work is a central and important aspect of our curriculum.

Please note that in Europe the German word “Medieninformatik” is often translated as “Media Informatics”.
Accreditation of degree programmes
The Computer Science and Media bachelor’s programme has been reaccredited by the accreditation institute Acquin until 2016, the Computer Science and Media master’s programme until 2017. Accreditation means that the quality of the study conditions has been independently assessed.
In the evaluators’ report, the accreditation institute ACQUIN particularly acknowledges the excellent support available to the students:
“The support provided by the faculty, Ph.D students and staff is considered as being very good. Professors, Ph.D students and staff are approachable and accessible at any time, either directly or via e-mail.”
