Proficiency in German – A Prerequisite for Enrolment
If you are admitted to a regular degree programme at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, you must submit proof that you have passed the DSH Level 2 exam (or equivalent language test) when you enrol. This requirement does not apply, however, if you intend to enrol in an English-language degree programme.
You may take the DSH at the Language Centre at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, or have your language certificate recognised.
You are responsible for attaining the required language proficiency level by the time you enrol. Certified copies of all certificates must be submitted to the Student Office. Translations of the certificates are only required if they are not already in German or English.
Please note:
Participants of exchange programmes (e.g. ERASMUS) are not required to show proof of German language proficiency.
