ERASMUS

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has participated in the European Union’s international university exchange programmes since 1991. In the new EU educational programme for “Lifelong Learning” (LLP), effective from 2009 to 2013, the Bauhaus-Universität received the EU charter 28470-IC-1-2007-1-DE-ERASMUS-EUCX-1 which outlined the following activities for the 2009/2010 academic year:

  • Student mobility and internships abroad
  • Lecturer and personnel mobility
  • Intensive programmes

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is a member of ERASMUS, a student exchange programme in which 110 other universities in 25 EU member states participate in accordance with bilateral agreements (see the list of partner universities)

These agreements guarantee that:

  • students from partner universities are allowed to study at the Bauhaus-Universität in a student exchange programme (incoming)
  • students from the Bauhaus-Universität may study at partner universities (outgoing) following an application and faculty-specific selection process
  • instructors, researchers, artists and designers from partner universities are admitted for short visits (incoming)
  • instructors, researchers, artists and designers from the Bauhaus-Universität are admitted to partner universities (outgoing) for short visits
