Granted are outstanding foreign students in full degree studies at Bauhaus-University Weimar after the first subject-related semester for 12 months. The scholarship amounts to 450,00 € per month.

Awarding criteria

• exceptional academic performance  (certificated by first vocational course of study)
• special motivation and ability for master programmes at Bauhaus-University Weimar
• social engagement, especially regarding to intercultural exchange and social interaction between foreigners and Germans

Method of Selection
Yearly calls for proposal will be made in November, interested students may then send in their applications. The decision of awarding will be carried out by the awarding committee. Application deadline is on December 16, 2011.

The grant usually starts on the first of April.

Application documents
The application has to be sent digitally (pdf-document), containing
   1. application and letter of motivation,
   2. personal data sheet (with passport sized photo),
   3. recommendation of a professor,
   4. copy of bachelor or diploma certificate,
   5. verification of social engagement (e.g. certificates, confirmation of an action)
   6. certification of qualified German knowledge (exception: degree of a German University is existing)
