Bauhaus Scholarships

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has set up the Bauhaus Scholarship to aid outstanding German and foreign Bachelor, Masters, PhD and Post Doctoral students, who indicate above average achievements or expect a high qualification for their field of knowledge. All students must be registered in a respective programme at the Bauhaus-Universität.

Each year the rectorate determines the number, duration, amount and target group of the scholarships. The allocation takes place within the framework of the funds available each year. The awarding committee is commissioned with the call for proposals and the allocation of the scholarships. The scholarships are granted according to § 23 and 44 of the Thüringer Landeshaushaltsordnung.

Additional scholarships may not be granted, when the applicant is already sponsored through other public funds or funds from public establishments. The scholarship holder may work part-time for a maximum of 20 hours a month.

The annual income will be deducted from the scholarship, should it exceed 7,500 € for singles and 17,500 € for married couples. The annual income for the partner will also be considered. The scholarship holder will receive grant documents. Scholarship certificates are generally awarded during the Bauhaus-Universität matriculation ceremony.
