National Code of Conduct on Foreign Students

On the orders of the university’s extending presidency on the 28th April 2010, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar commits to the National Code of Conduct on Foreign Students. The code of conduct aims to establish a set of common minimum stardards for the support and assistence of international students. Those quality standards will take place in the following fields:
- Information, marketing, support and advice
- Admission and placement of students
- Academic, language and social support and advice
- services on and after completing their studies
- handling complaints
- placement of international students
Clear, comprehensive and preferably multilingual information should be provided. The guiding principle is to grant international students the same rights as are available to German students and offer them the service and assistance they particularly need. The International Office will coordinate the implementation of the code within the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. To the HRK’s specifications, the code should be placed into action within the next six months.
