Innovatively International: Expert forums targeted at international learning and teaching at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

Synopsis of the Workshops (in german only)

DAAD call for papers

By means of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for the program "Innovationen in der Lehre: die internationale Dimension in der Lehre stärken", the International Office coordinates three expert forums to be held in the summer semester 2012.

The aim is to support the individuals that are involved in the internationalisation at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. This shall be achieved by:

• common, professionally guided development and furtherance of innovative learning and teaching ideas,
• dissemination and promotion of existing models of "good practice",
• integration, networking and instruction of the actors that are involved in the international learning and teaching,
• structural reinforcement of the idea and the interest in the internationalisation of learning and teaching.

The following expert forums are planned:

How to successfully organize international study programs?

The Intercultural Classroom: developing innovative didactical methods 

• Date: 08.06.2012
• Time: 09.00 - 17.00
• Place: Bauhausstraße 11, Seminarraum 015
• Expert: Prof. Heather Hofmeister - Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, Link

The deadline for the registration is the 30th of May 2012.

The expert forums will be held in the form of lectures, workshops, panel discussions and private conversatio

• Target groups: faculties and administration
• Duration: half-day to full-day
• Experts: distinguished scholars and specialists from the respective fields (external experts and internal university members)
• Aim: to generate ideas that are fitted to the situation at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and that can be easily transferred to different areas.

This project is a part of the internationalistion process of learning and teaching at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
