Tuition fees in selected countries
The table below lists the yearly tuition fees (based on information dating back to 2003) charged by universities in selected countries. Because these fees vary considerably, you will have to inquire specifically about the tuition fees at the university of your choice. The prices below are based on the tuition rates charged by publicly funded institutions and were provided by a variety of occasionally conflicting sources. For more information, please see the country data provided by the DAAD.

As in some states in Germany, tuition fees are not charged by publicly funded universities in the following countries:
- France (but a registration fee of up to € 418)
- Norway
- Denmark
- Sweden
- Finland
- Greece
- Ireland (but a registration fee of about €700)
