Weimar hat die beste internationale Hochschule in Deutschland
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar describes itself as an open, creative university with a penchant for experimentation and proximity to industrial practice. Now it can also describe itself as Germany’s top “International University 2011”. The Thuringian university took first place at this year’s „International University“ competition. The distinction is awarded by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) each year to a German university which has advanced internationality in the higher-education sector in a convincing and exemplary fashion. The competition in 2011 offered a 50,000-euro prize and was based on the motto “The International Dimension of Teaching”.
