The Studentenwerk Thüringen offers a wide variety of services, such as:

• providing and assigning rooms in its halls of residence
• Operating the Mensa (main dining hall) and cafeterias
• Financial aid counselling
• Job search assistance
• Child day-care facilities
• General and psycho-social counselling centre
• Cultural support and funding programmes for students
• Issuing the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and the German-French Social ID card

The Bauhaus-Universität also offers a wide range of student and academic service programmes.

• The University Library contains more than 400,000 volumes, 1,000 magazines and 125,000 non-book materials.
• The Language Centre offers a wide variety of beginner and refresher courses in German and other foreign languages.
• The Service Centre for Computer Systems and Communication operates the University’s main server, maintains the data networks, issues login names and passwords, and ensures the smooth operation of all the information pools at the University.
• The University Sports Centre caters to the wishes of its students with a large range of courses from relaxing yoga to high-powered triathlon.
