The Careers Service at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is offered by the General Academic Advisory Service. The Careers Service provides students and graduates with professional orientation to supplement their academic qualifications. Its activities include informing students about current trends, procedures and professional and career-planning strategies, regardless of whether they already have concrete professional goals or not.

The introduction of the undergraduate degree programmes has reduced the length of study which has made it even more crucial for students to professionally orient themselves at an early stage. Therefore, students should try to envision their professional future based on their personal profile long before they graduate.
